Same here. Real world driving I'm averaging 60 but my commute is terrible these days. Lots of city driving. I had a 70mpg tank a couple weeks ago.

Vredestein Quatrac 5 tires at 62 PSI 165/65 R14

I want to post to let everyone know that over the last 5 months I have had zero issues with these tires. My last 3 tanks (see fuel log) each averaged over 80 MPG. If these tires have a MPG penalty as compared with the RE92, it is negligible.

Do you find them loud? I watched a review and that was one observation. Also that cornering was not the best of the tested all season tires. In general, it seemed like they were describing a LRR compound tire--as if one had snuck into their performance tests.

I will rebuild Black and Green over decades as parts die, until it becomes a different car of roughly the same shape and color. My minimum fuel economy goal is 55 mpg while averaging posted speed limits. I generally top 60 mpg. See also my Honda manual transmission specs thread.

I have 185 width Quatracs on the front of my car. I don't find them loud, but I also have some whine in my gearbox and a not-quiet exhaust. The grip is *significantly* better than the low bar set by RE92s. Can't speak for wear yet, but so far I find them very reasonable tires for the price.

These tyres score well - C for crr - in the Euro rating system.

https://www.oponeo.ie/details-tyre/v...65-65-r14-79-t

For this tyre size, all the better eco tyres are a C.

Two alternatives - both of which I presently have on my Mirage - that also are rated C.

Bridgestone Ecopia EP150 165/65-14R, std fitting on Mits Mirage

Kumho ecowing ES31 165/65-14R

With regards to noise, they are rated 2dB quieter than the Bridgestone EP150 and the Kumho ecowing ES31

I haven't noticed this, but it's worth noting I have some extra sound deadening in the doors and trunk of the car so I might not be the best judge of this.
