A nice late afternoon for a change.
.
So I went to hunt down a parking lot to take some height measurements of Centurion.
.
On the way it was hard to resist taking another pic of "Centurion Parked Next To:"
.

.

.

.
Some height data on deck....

Here are some close approximate measures on Centurion:
.

.
Roof Height @ 41 inches...
.
.

.
Front fender arch to arch width @ 59 inches
.
.

.
Rocker Height @ 4.5 inches...
.
.

.
And for elhigh.. Yes! When normally seated at the wheel I can easily touch the pavement without leaning out. With a slight lean leftward I can flatpalm the road....

Lol! Anything is possible I guess but please do not get a betting pool going. Myself, I'm juiced because:
.
- I think Aerostang has a really excellent shot at 50mpg (been following that thread for awhile now). Should UltArc meet or exceed that mark would be a pretty big deal.
.
- I'm also willing to bet that mloveland78 is going to make sure the ecomodders are once again remembered. He did a very impressive 75mpg last year and it would be hard to believe he wouldn't attempt to best that this year.
.
- And then there's Bruce Pick.. I'm not sure exactly how - but if anyone nails the lap times - this might be Bruce's year. Bruce has a look about the lap times, like Uma did during "Kill Bill" lol! Gooo Bruce!!".
.
- Then we have a complete wildcard - sheepdog 44. He's been on the course as a navigator and you could almost hear the gears turning. Be sure to keep an eye on the Red Insight (the one called Ruby Sparks.)
.
Looking at sheepdog 44's registrant list - I'd say there's gonna be some stiff competition all-the-way around so nobody get's an easy win - nobody!
.
T-E-N loooong days left!!!

Ditto UltArc! Looking forward to all of what I didn't get to do last year. The Aerostang is on my to-do list since last year we were orbiting around the track at 180 degrees apart for the entire 100+ miles - hence no footage of that hulking beast!
.
Stay safe and see you soon!

Still many things to wrap up between now and the 17th
.
Along with some sleepless nights
.
Kneeling on the cold rocks partly frozen into the dirt floor
.
Cold wrenches, scissor jacks, and a forehead LED light
.
And - Lovin' every minute of it!
.
.

.

.
One more week until the 11th Annual Green Grand Prix!!

If anyone wants to follow in these footsteps, I just came across this deal:
Urban Centurion (rough) with a brand new Kubota d750 for $1750... or $250 for the car without the engine:
Urba Centurion project

Man, I hope you're getting some kind of love from Kubota. You deserve it.

The Centurion - and your approach to it - is the kind of eye-bulging, tongue-wagging enthusiasm that makes for good PR. There's the frank, formal, austere kind of PR that every company sticks to most of the time, and there's the Slightly Inappropriate Uncle kind of PR where you get to wheel out your more left field constituents.

I'm not saying you're nuts - though you do call yourself Crazy Jerry - but it's the kind of enthusiasm you see in a golden retriever chasing after a ball. You can't help but like it.

If I drank, I'd lift a beer with you, Jerry. You're my kind of nuts.

Looking forward to hearing results of the GGP!
