Using boost gauge.

As part of my ongoing development of my diesel vitara 97, Ive been getting over 45 to the gallon UK size in local stop start motoring.
Ive wondered what boost if any the turbo gives in my economy type driving.
So to that end Ive fitted a boost gauge and can report the following.
Theres no boost developed at all in my mode of driving, surprisingly, tho the moment I put my foot down to accelerate more than normal the turbo can be seen to develop boost from as low as 1psi up to its maximum of 8 psi with the foot to the floor!!.
There are lots of places where we have 30 mph speed limits and its interesting that i can gauge that speed just by engine sound.
It would be nice if one had a head up display of the speed projected on the windscreen.
Thats the trouble!! coming from the field of aviation. One gets spoiled!!.

I would like to say they there are cars that have the heads up display the two I know of is the Pontiac Bonneville and GrandPrix both had it as an option. I do not know if it would be possible to fit one in a different car or if there are other cars that have had it.
