Yes, and yes. Vman455 has our support in closing the thread.
I apologize to him that we've taken so long to discuss the situation between aerohead and Julian Edgar that another thread on the same topic was started in the interim.

If he's only been a moderator for a few months, why do you apologize to him? And not us?
So the number of moderators is three?
I have not problem with threads being closed, except momentarily. I disavow the suggestion at Permalink #7 to lock this thread as well.
So this is the icon for closed?
Why are stickies tagged hot/new?
Is there a list of threads that were closed, or a way to search up such a list? It's all so mysterious. How are moderators nominated and chosen? Aren't they you required to keep up with the postings?

I didn't say that - you're misquoting me.
I said: "The title of this thread is enough to categorise it as more personal abuse from Aerohead."
Perhaps you're so used to seeing personal abuse from Aerohead that you don't recognise it as such? Aerohead constantly attacks the person, not what they say or do. Calling a moderator a 'tyrant' is par for the Aerohead course.

Ironically, you are making a directed attack at aerohead's character in order to claim the ad hominems are just "par for the course" for him. I agree with freebeard... it takes two to "tangle" ... and this tangle is really boring! At least do it in a tub of jello guys, okay? lol

Well, I don't get blowback from aerohead (NOT Aerohead, you duffus) because I don't bait him.
And Tyrant-at-large is self description.

I wrote Permalink #7. I made no such suggestion. You were misquoting me.

So how would you characterise the title of this thread, which has absolutely zero to do with me?
Aerohead constantly attacks the person, not what they say or do. Calling a moderator a 'tyrant' is par for the Aerohead course - that's the sort of thing he does.

Well, I'd not put it that way. You choose not to pick him up on all his errors. (Or maybe you just don't realise they are in fact errors?)
I have this really weird notion that it is best for misinformation not to be spread. Strange, I know.

Julian has been a cancer to the site ever since he came on but he writes just well enough to confuse most people. His technical knowledge is shallow.
This is the straw that breaks the camel's back, for me. I'm done with the website. Bye.

Then why on earth would professional aerodynamicists - real ones, including professors of aerodynamics and car company aero leaders - publicly endorse my books?
I write just the same content in my books as here.
