vristang

My name is Jason and I have a 1987 n/a 2.3 Mustang LX with a manual 5spd.

Currently getting around 26mpg, but starting to get the tune dialed in.

Some things I've changed from stock...
Ranger roller cam
Ranger header
ranger dual plug head & intake
EDIS conversion using a 1993 Lincoln MkVIII computer
Wideband O2
Moates Quarterhorse
Currently the CR is around 9.66:1

The computer change was pretty recent and I still have a lot to do with the tuning.
It should be in the 30-35 range when it's dialed in.

I drive it 115 miles/day.

jason

Look a my mileage on my 1997 Ranger. Mine has the Mazda transmission with a .79 overdrive 5th gear and a 3.45 differental. Works out to about 2200 RPM at 60 MPH. I have an aero cap, smooth wheel covers and a total upper grille block, with Bridgestone Ecopia tires. Best tank so far was over 33 MPG. Last tank was 31.5 in winter temps here (about 40-50 average).

regards
Mech

I attended a school called vehicle research institute here in wa.
I'm known on several Mustang/Ford boards by that name now, so I'm kinda stuck with it...
