Water injecting and EGR
So here is a major question:
Water Injection: can it really help in MPG?
Water Injection VS EGR: Or + EGR??
I was thinking of using EGR to help overcome Pumping losses, by forcing the engine to need more throttle and thus force it to run with a more open throttle and thus lowering engine vacuum. Kind of like a diesel
Of course the question is does cutting pumping losses really help…
I will most likely need either EGR or Water Injection to help while running on lean burn.

Water injection, in a gasoline engine no.
Egr in a gaser, yes.

Don't use water, use Turbo Rocket Fuild™.

Jetfire Turbo Rocket Fluid - OldsJetfire.com
The original anti-detonation fluid was straight water, but that would freeze in the cold climate states, so methanol was added to suppress the freezing point. The Olds engineers found the mixture with methanol actually gave the engine about a 5 horse power boost, bring the rated horse power up to the magical 215, 1 HP per Cubic Inch!

Let's ask DuckDuckGo:

The mechanic keeping the forgotten Oldsmobile Jetfire alive
The brew, which Olds called "Turbo Rocket Fluid," was 50 percent methanol and 50 percent distilled water, spiked with a water-soluble pump lubricant. The latter was needed to mitigate the alcohol's propensity for breaking down the system's rubber seals. (Bosch recently developed a water injection system for turbocharged engines with a ...

Great I use DuckDuckGo as well...
So water-soluble pump lubricant =Bar's Leaks 1311-6PK Water Pump Lube with Anti-Rust - 12 oz, (Pack of 6) https://www.amazon.com/Bars-Leaks-13.../dp/B00BYS6YDO
Currently unavailable.
But by the time I maybe using it...and as there is NO rubber of any kind other than the line I may be using to feed it to the system, I wonder if a fuel line will work without the Bars leak??

Water methanol injection typically uses up to 40 to 50% alcohol.

Thanks and at what ratio of injection into the fuel injection??
I looked into the idea of Propane injection/additive and as a business at that time promoting and selling this setup, the use of propane was require to by it at a automotive fueling station at the much higher costs per gallon, and if I remember correctly it was fed in at a 20% rate giving a 20% improvement in MPG.
Sadly it was a net lost, yes you could save 20% in gasoline costs only to spend it on the propane and that worked out as a zero savings, LESS the cost of the injection set up and labor installing it etc.
Now as a non-business person, I could get away with using BBQ Propane and it would cost about 50% the automotive fuel...
Still a 10% saving will take a long time paying off all the costs...
I just looked at the cost of methanol and it is around $30.00 per gallon...
I think it will not be all that cost wise....

Propane fumigation works on diesels.
