Small intermittent burst of water in an engine shouldn't be a problem but I wonder about corrosion issues with continued, regular use of water injection? And, if tap water is used, wouldn't there be concerns of salt buildup, especially with areas noted for hard water?

it is ok to just say you don't know how to do the math either.

you are pretty good at doing the easy math at atmospheric pressure using engineering 101 tables.
better then I am by far.

can someone help with the math of my final example?
thanks!

There are too many people here who buy into the siren song of "there's something out there for cars that's oh-so-much more efficient than the 'obsolete' 4 stroke internal combustion engine, but we just didn't figure it out how to make it work yet." This is pushed by true believers who don't have one lick of actual knowledge of the theory behind either the wonder-engine or the internal combustion engine as we know it, and is then supported by people who would and should know better, yet show a disturbing lack of curiosity.

Good luck getting your magic devices to run using steam, folks. You're only hurting the cause of Ecomodding.
Your point is to try to degrade people for trying to Ecomode, labeling them as you have deemed fit.
You are hurting Ecomodders with statements like that.
Whats the world coming to ! How will new inventions be brought to use when the Experimenters get reprimanded for daring to trying.

The ecomodders don't invent and build new engine systems.
Its more parts bin engineering, going the extra mile doing what the OEMs are too lazy to do or recombinding OEM, non-OEM and after market parts in configureations that fit your driving style and conditions better than anything the OEMs could ever offer.

Nobody's stopping you from building one of these wonder devices, Nasty. By all means, go ahead and waste your time and money. Like I told drmiller100, I'll still be here to laugh at you and say "I told you so," when you report back that your attempt failed.

You have a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. You minored in Physics and Computer Science. You figure this out, genius.

For this reason, I will no longer provide any free assistance of any sort to drmiller100. And, "Doug?" Don't ever again presume to try to tell me how polite I should be. You've managed to crap all over a bunch of other people who tried to help you, while being a lot less polite than I've been.
