This is what a Smart 4 2 can become if FE is not the goal :)

Looks like great fun.

It's called the "smartuki". You drop a 160 hp GSXR 1000 engine into a smart.

Pure evil. BWAHAAHAAHAA!!!

Smart Car + Suzuki GSXR = Ultimate Tuned Smart - Smartuki

I do wonder how they got it into the US, though, and whether it could actually be licensed?

to tell the truth I'm a bit disappointed in the smart car. I parked next to one the other day with a sticker in the back window that said 40mpg. I felt like running into the store to get pen and paper so I could put a sign in the window of my 1986 "beater" vw jetta that said 50mpg's, seats 4 and only cost me 600 bucks. I think that americans have been brain washed into thinking that anything approaching 30 is good. I mean honestly the VW polo gets like 80 mpg's. "exasperated sigh".

I thought they were all sequential/automatic ie. you can select the gear by moving the gear lever up or down.
