Also, I own a 1970 Porsche 911 T, still working on it. And a 1997 Chevy 4x4. Gets me to work and back home and plows snow in the winter.

Hi, just joined to see the Insight Aero mods. I have a 2000 Insight, 175k miles get 61 mpg and the car is driven in HOT Az... I've having bat pack problems, sent my pack to Ron Hansen, also bought a 2nd pack and am learning a lot from the InsightCentral threads, built Mike D's balancer and will put it on my orig pack when it gets back. I've also gotten a MRC Brain 989 to play with the sticks from the 2nd pack.
Thanks
Rush

Hello people,

I am a Realtor / History teacher now but have a strong automotive past. I like to tinker and to go Fast. I have been playing with cars alot recently and once I finish up on my current projets I will be looking for a long time comming electric or maybe something more interesting time killer.
My cars by no means get an sort of mileage. For the type of vehicle they are, I am top notch. I work minutes from home and my wife takes the train when she has to go to work so we stay very local typically.

My rides by Year:
2005 Harley Davidson XL 55mpg twisty roads driving
2004 Cadillac SRX V6 24mpg. mixed driving
2002 Olds Alero GLS V6 24mpg mixed driving
1995 Chevrolet Tahoe V8 18mpg mixed driving new ignition coil and a few other tweaks to come looking for 20

and finally
1975 Corvette Stingray V8 Roots Supercharged 6-71 running Alcohol 3MPG winter project changing back to gas and possible fuel injection used 1/4 mile at a time

Electronics are not my strong suit I am more mechanical so looking to learn.

Newly signed up (initially to see the aero sims by treb) but as I want to make a few mods... here I am

RF electronics ~ 20 years experience across not just RF but PICs PCBs C/ADA Assembler Audio electroincs mobile phones ETSI compliance testing, FDA for medical etc.

And for fun: Astronomy.. home built stepper drive for the scope, steam engines (recently completed a live steamer)

And now of course being in blighty with the horrendous road tax over here (£1.20/ltr ~= $8/gal) I'm looking to mod the merc.

Car: Merc W210 E320CDi.. I average 42mpg (imperial gallons) but of course
I want more... so here I am!

I got my Bachelor's in Sustainability. Now pursuing a Master's in Environmental Science.

When I grow up, I want to be a Sustainability consultant/advocate.

But for now, I study and wish my Vibe was a manual.
