Bolt EUV passenger volume: 96.5 cubic feet
Equinox passenger volume: 103.5 cubic feet
So, volume difference roughly 7%. Weight difference roughly 30%.
Good guesses.

The battery, which is the heaviest component, has 30% more capacity, so it seems fitting it would be 30% heavier.
Weight has never mattered much to me because it has little to do with efficiency. There's an aero-focus on this forum for a reason. A very heavy thing can be designed to be extremely efficient on a miles-per-ton basis, or a passenger miles per gallon basis.

Don't forget about cargo volume:
Equinox EV cargo volume 26.4 feet
Bolt EUV cargo volume 16.3 cu ft
Cargo volume is quite limited in the Bolt and my wife and I can't even fit two carry on suitcase plus our backpacks behind the seat even with the cargo cover removed.
Equinox:
EUV:
The Equinox EV does loose some valuable cargo space with the form over function 45 degree sloped hatch that is the style today.
I'm pretty excited about the Equinox EV with the blend of price, range, size, and charge speed. The only bummer is that the 2wd version in FWD instead of RWD. (An odd decision to me as the Blazer EV on the same plaform has a RWD version)

I would never buy a RWD for daily use, only FWD or AWD, not in Montana.

You do you. I grew up driving RWD vehicles in Michigan so I'm not bothered by a bit of oversteer when getting on the throttle. I far prefer it to losing steering if I spin the wheels in a FWD or dealing with FWD torque steer.
(Torque steer was really bad in my Spark EV and GM didn't fix it on my Bolt either)
EVs generally have near 50/50 or even rear weight bias which takes away FWD's traction advantage in slippery conditions. It can be tough getting up hills in the snow with my Bolt even with dedicated snow tires. Not enough weight over the drive wheels.

My Metro felt scary in high speed curves until I did a rear wheel alignment. It's better but I still miss being able to steer with the throttle. With the Notchback at full lock the throttle would give 10 or 15 degrees, back off the throttle and it would tighten the curve.
The Superbeetle is like a Porsche, terminal oversteer.

EV should have very precise stability control for oversteer since it can react in an instant. Should make it less necessary to have skill. I've got no recent experience with RWD and a fine-tuned stability control system though.
