I went to fill a flat tire on a rusty old wheelbarrow a few months ago, and it blew at like 2 PSI. What blew was the rusted rim; the tire was completely intact. The steel rim had become so rusted it could hardly hold any pressure at all. Lucky it went at 2 PSI and not 30.
The wheelbarrow is older than me. Used to wash my first dog in that thing when I was like 5.

Will you replace it with an aluminum gokart wheel?

The tub is at its end, too. She's had a good run. Lots of memories of dad pushing me around in it. Moved a lot of wood from the woodshed to the porch.

I was just showing the park manager why my wheelbarrow is the Cadillac of wheelbarrows
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Corona-Easy...e/293614979896
The bumper on the front allows it to store upright. As soon as they touch ground, the lever arm extends by about that much.
There are retaining pins for the handles but I don't use them. They don't come out under load and thy slip out and lay across the frame when it's in storage. And sometimes when I'm filling it and the handle is in the way.

And why a Motorcycle nor a car for that matter should NEVER ride alongside a semi Tractor Trailer, which you already knew I suspect.

I once was driving, and it begun to rain... bits of rubber. Then occasional large chunks struck my car. A semi a fair distance ahead had a tread coming apart.
Only time I saw how all those treads come to litter our roadways.

The wheelbarrow is all steel. I bought it at discount when Furrow's Bldg Mtrls went out of business in the mid-90s. It could stand a de-rusting and paint.

Saw that video, and it seems the truck tire had a lot of rotational inertia. The front part of the tire was rotating downward, and the rear of the tire was rotating upward. My assumption is the car struck the tire in the rear, and that upward rotational inertia rapidly translated to the vehicle causing it to launch upwards.
Only time I've seen a wheel come off a vehicle was the first race of our high school electric car, at Lane Benton Community College. Our car lost a wheel because we didn't reverse thread the axle bolt on left side. I sprinted out and had it reattached in a minute with a couple adjustable wrenches. We finished middle of the pack, which isn't bad for an inaugural showing.
