I have never driven this car so I will find out soon enough about the steering.

If the steering is too slow, you can probably source a faster ratio steering box and the power steering pump (if the new box is for power steering) from an older Jeep or other vehicle with a similar engine.

At this point I don't have any plans to do anything like that. I have too many other projects to start modifying this car. I plan on driving it the way it is. Other than some fuel economy mods I want to put my time into my 48 Chevy pickup that I have had for 36 years! THAT I want to get back on the road.

The manifold looks like something a high school kid would make as a project. Amazing how large car companies function sometimes. Also amazing the car runs with it...lol.

I drove a 63 Rambler about 100 miles on I 80 in the early 70's. Ran it at 70 mph and got 25 mpg.

I bought a rambler ambassador with the 360 engine in it in the early 80's. It was not that great with mileage but it would really go for a fairly big car. Paid 300 dollars for it.
