That's interesting I wonder if all cars measure reverse distance?

No real researched knowledge but I bet after Ferris Bueller's Day Off... odometers don't run backwards in reverse anymore!

It's the only one I have seen that measures in reverse.

YKYAEM if a 487 mile tank counts as a short fill, and you do it because you know you have 100 miles to go before you'll be back at that pump.

YKYAEM if you have a 900 mile round trip ahead of you and go, "well shucks - if it was only 800 miles, I might make it on one tank, but better plan on getting gas during this one."

YKYAEM when you screech in horror when the guy you carpool with just burned 10.442 gallons in 301.6 miles, in a car that's rated for 37 highway (which is all we drive, we carpool in his car).

YKYAEM when trying for a 1000 km tank you chicken out when the indicated remaining range drops to 0, and (wife and kid in the car) you find some random gas station that happens to have a special discount, so you fill up at 971 km with the cheapest gas you've seen in 4 months... and you are still P'd O for missing that kilotank

When that 900 mile trip could be done on one tank but because work is paying for driving time they require "normal driving " so you plan for 2 fuel stops
