...you are sitting at a traffic light and your antennae pick up a new, somewhat syncopated, rattle.

Then you realize your right next to a Dodge RAM 2500.

  • ... you wish your non-sporty pickup truck was paddle-shift simply because it would mean you could upshift earlier than the TCM will let you
  • ... you've contemplated fitting a sporty overdrive to that same truck for the same reason
  • ... you still haven't gotten around to making your dream operating system for your computer because not only does the difficulty of said weigh on your mind but so does that of fitting an overdrive to a pickup

YKYAEM and even if you drive ethanol gas that is a lot cheaper, 23MPG makes you anxious

YKYAEM ....if you make jokes with the attendant at the pump about 'range anxiety' as you fill up with clear premium.

YKYAEM if you have converted your driving habits have affected those around you.

My wife now coasts to stops in neutral, accelerates down hills to coast up the next one, stays in neutral at stop lights, cycles her AC, and today she was swearing at a headwind.

Edit: YKYAEM if you turn your car off long BEFORE you get to the gas pump. Did this the other day and got some strange looks as I EOCd about 1/4 mile from the highway, onto the service road and into the parking lot, finally stopping at the pump as I was losing momentum.

Hah, true. I keep telling myself to just breathe, but find myself holding in when my mind wanders

Or, you could be driving an old 36hp Beetle with the heater flaps rusted shut.
