Wind noise is reduced with the electrical tape. Still not getting the best mpg at high speeds. 48mpg at 80mph this morning in northwest Alabama. Hoping I can catch a tail wind or some warmer temps will help. Def need to smooth bottom of car more when I get back to Oregon and maybe add some extended harsh separation edges at the rear with abs plastic or something. Wouldn’t even call it a box cavity, but I think it’ll help with the rest a little.

You know you are an Ecomodder when you complain about ONLY getting 48 mpg at 80 mph.

I’m used to getting 65-70 around Portland. I get 62-68 mpg driving at 75-80mph thru Atlanta or salt lake when you get the corador affect with slip streaming the interstates

Just saw a Tesla about to be taken up on a tow truck in east section of Columbia river gorge. No charging station back behind them. Head winds are 15-25 mph with faster gusts. Crazy how the head winds really drained the juice on that Tesla battery.

So idk if the average mpg calculated on my trip computer is off and doesn’t really recognize the eco mods, but from Boise back to Portland, I ended up making it back home with a quarter tank left. Even with driving into head winds! Average speed was close to 80 the whole trip too. There have been some times that I’ve driven back to Portland from Boise and I’ve had to stop 3/4th of the way and add in another 10 dollars of gas just to make it home. So it does seem like the range has been extended a little with wheel covers and no mirrors

84 headwinds have taken MPG from a normal of 30, down to something like 22. When you're driving high speed and pushing against 25 MPH headwinds, range plummets.

I can't make Boise to home on a full tank, so I usually stop somewhere around Hood River.

Sometimes I'll take highway 20 instead since it's shorter and quieter. Adds 15 minutes in theory, but if there's not much traffic I can make that up. Of course, if Portland is home than 84 is the only way to do it.
