The hardware overcurrent trip isn't being reset automatically, so if it trips, you will have to cycle power at the moment with the version of software I sent over. It's just to prevent catastrophe while the bugs are worked out. Also, don't forget that full clockwise of the little POT on the board means hardware overcurrent trip is 1800amp. Full counterclockwise means hardware overcurrent trip is 0amp. I think full clockwise would be OK, because the 3 IGBTs are rated for 600amp continuous each anyway (assuming a magical infinite heatsink, and running at 125 degC or some such silliness). The default maximum motor amps at full throttle that I sent to you was 100. haha. That's just for testing it out.

Do higher rated igbt's exist? Or will only the voltage be higher then?

The capacitor could be run at like 500v. You would probably need 2 of them if you wanted 2000amp for any extended period of time.

They have 800amp, 900amp, 1000amp, and 1400amp 1200v IGBTs. Here's one:

It might be a little too fat to fit 3 of them side by side. They don't seem to have higher current 600v IGBTs for some reason.

EDIT: Yep, it would require like 5.2 inch per IGBT.

Ya, I just have the light turn on and not do anything really at the moment. The IGBTs you have are over $300 each I think. I got them new and cheap on Ebay, but those days are gone.

Hooked up my serial and terminal program.. but don't get a response on the config command..

To be sure I took off your rs232 cable and loopbacked it.. that works.. so the cable is good..

What can I check?
