Tatra were one of the first well streamlined cars I guess, they also had kind of trademark of having air cooled engine at rear, they had even V12 engines put there, also their trucks had air cooled V12 (at front naturally).

Here is bit further reading:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tatra_...y)#Early_years

This was world's first streamlined production car:

Even cars were advanced at the time, sadly war changed much, without it who knows if we would have had different kind of vehicle evolution.

Wow, those are "new" images of the Maybach! They are actual photos, not images of newsprint photos:

^Trading for a muscle car... who'd have thought? Hah. Wonder what kind of mileage it gets.

Even cars were advanced at the time, sadly war changed much, without it who knows if we would have had different kind of vehicle evolution.
In an interview with Paul Jaray,he told the reporter that he disapproved of what Hans Ledwinka had done with the Tatra, but had no control over the design even though it was built under Jaray's license.
The car was notorious for oversteer, several German officers will killed driving them, and finally, officers driving conscripted Tatras were forbidden to drive them at speed.
Later wind tunnel tests of the car indicated that the original drag coefficient claims were highly inflated.

They had the engine in the rear, so if they got a little out of sorts, then all hell would break loose. The Schlörwagen was apparently similarly afflicted...

The old VW Beetle had the same problem to a lesser extent. The rearward wieght bias of the rear engine/transmisssion tends to make it oversteer if you pushed it too hard through a curve or if you braked too hard as you were entering a curve. But that rearward weight bias made it very stable for when you were accelerating out of a curve. These handling characteristics were the opposite of those of the forward weight biased front engine/rear drive cars most people were used to driving, which were stable when braking into a curve and tended to understeer through the curve if you pushed the limits of adhesion.
