Cool.
One thing to consider: you'll want some way to turn it off or dim it. It'll be annoyingly bright at night.
(At least I'd probably find it to be bright... I even stuck electrical tape over part of my high-beam indicator in the Firefly because it's so bright!)

Good point! I don't like bright gauges at night either, I usually turn them down nearly all the way on most cars.
I do know that the voltmeter has a potentiometer on the back of it. However, I'm pretty sure that it is for calibration, not brightness.
I'll check out how bright it is before throwing it in the car.

Even if it is not dimmable, you could put a layer or three of window tint film over it to reduce the brightness. You might find a good compromise between day and night readability.

Good point Joel. I'll look into that if I need to.
I got the pod redesigned a minute ago. I think this will work out a lot better.
I put a chamfer around the LED display hole. This makes it look a bit similar to the scangauge. Makes it a bit less bland too.
I may add something to the back side to hold the wires, but I'm not sure that'll even be an issue.
Here is kind of how it'll look. I didn't mention before, but the pod really doesn't block the view as much as the picture indicates. I can see the speedometer completely without any issues.

What about an integrated vacuum gauge, voltmeter, and Scangauge case?

I'll probably be getting around to making something that clips to the lower dash so the SG doesn't sit there at an angle. This would keep the SG in the same location, just not sitting there.

I was able to print out a new gauge pod today. It came out pretty good.
There is a bit of a gap on the top and bottom which you can see in this picture. If I ever reprint it, I'll fix that.

That does look good.

Thanks. I got it installed in the car the other day, but it was too dark to get any good pictures of it. I also still need to wire in the voltmeter.

We had a nice sunny morning and I had just gotten back from a drive so I decided to get the wires run (not connected yet), and get a picture of the new gauge pod on the car. It looks quite nice IMO. I did end up reprinting it, this time around I added a little holder for the wires coming off the voltmeter.
