Anyone using magnets to increase milage?

I've found a couple of papers like this, posted in journals I've never heard of.

The others were even worse than this.

OK, I've run a "real world" test of magnets on the fuel line and air intake.

Three fills without magnets -
2169 km, 112.81 litres = 5.66 l/100km average.

Three fills with low powered ferrite magnets -
2425 km, 137.72 litres = 5.68 l/100km average.

Three fills with high powered rare earth magnets -
2118 km, 119.79 litres = 5.66 l/100km average.

This wasn't a controlled test, just me driving to work as normal (winter), but I think the results speak for themselves.

I have tried magnets and got little to no effect. since I have magnets lying around. I thought I would revisit this. I believe most magnets being sold on the market are made with opposite poles attracting when installed. I think the 'right' way of installation is both south poles to be installed thus creating an opposing force to each other. Since I have them laying round might as well try it. No harm as i got the magnets free from a dead starter motor.
It'll be going into a 97 civic manual.
