That would make a lot of sense if they're serious into presenting it as a viable option for urban mobility. You know, a lot of people wouldn't even consider getting a vehicle that couldn't provide a car-like all-weather enclosure.

The Q2 report video has Q&A about the doors. They are having to be adjusted as the chassis is finalized for production.

The one at Permalink #236? I watched it again. Do you have a timestamp?
I'd trade the left-hand door for an anti-intrusion bar.
Edit: found it
Their rental location in the Whitaker is the old museum right across from the World Headquarters.

Arcimoto have opened their rental location in the Whitaker across Blair St. from their original office location. The ground rules:
Quote:
A few notes:
* We are currently only renting for full days (8 hours, pick up at
9am and return by 5pm), but plan to offer variable duration
options in the future.
* The current rental rate is $80/day.
* Please note that we have limited vehicles here at the start of
operations but will be expanding the rental fleet in the near
future.
* You must be 23 years old and have and must have a current driver's license and vehicle insurance.
* Please limit yourself to one reservation in the next two weeks
until we determine demand and have a chance to expand the fleet.
See you on the Road!

I do not think that I have ever paid $80 a day to rent a vehicle.

It's more like renting a jet ski or a 4 wheeler and they easily go $80/day for a $12,000 retail machine.
PS, bring some to a national park like Glacier, Yellowstone, or Yosemite and you could get $80/hour probably.
