I used a break light button for the break peddle. I put it on the left side of the steering wheel. Not the best place ever but I got real used to it and it works great. Just thw convinience of it got me like 3 mpg I think.

Very subtle, and out of the way so my wife won't accidentally hit it when she drives it occasionally.

Clutch in, flip switch, pull out of gear, flip switch back once the engine stops turning over. Works great.

Just thinking out loud here. What if you incorporated the cruise control switch? You could set the interruption switch (resume/set) to only work if the cruise control is off. This may not work on every car, but would definitely work on old Hondas with a simple relay. I'm thinking the coasting button is not used much when cruise control is being used.

I wired the switch through the clock-spring (cable-reel).
