Considering the Corsa B was the first serious contender to the VW Beetle in Mexico, it's no surprise for me it was also quite successful in other countries such as Brazil and South Africa (where it was assembled from Brazilian CKD kits). Diesel versions were made in Brazil only for export, while the 1.0 and 1.6 were the most common among the gassers here (and some dedicated-ethanol versions too). The 1.4 was more successful on export markets.

I am seeing hybrid versions of front-engined Porsches more often than their non-hybrid counterparts.

Mas eu gosto desse carro. Especialmente o dessa época, por volta de 1984, SL. Muito problema de lataria.

Now compare it to the American landyachts and you'll understand why it may justify being considered somewhat eco. It's a matter of perspective. Anyway, it won't be as fuel-efficient as the Diesel-powered ones made only for export.
