How about Cobalt's worst, previous tank was first to drop under 36 mpg in 18 months of ownership. Combination of cold weather and a little extra ethanol.

Getting 35.91 mpg with my 97 Toyota Corolla Base (1.6L 4A-FE, 3-Spd). That's about 19% over my first three tankful average (the tripometer is busted). This is my first foreign car of any description, my first 4-cylinder, and the first car I ever had that could get above 30mpg. Bought it from my friend's dad, who is the original owner, for $150. I have put "moon caps" on instead of the broken (and hideous) stock ones, folded in the passenger side mirror, taken off the mudflaps, disabled the power-steering, and filled the lower airdam on the front bumper with styrofoam and covered it with packaging tape. Plan on fixing the dented, ugly hood with bondo and paint today, and glassing over the taped up bumper, as it has caused no over heating thus far in FL in the two months I've had the car. Gonna make some belly pans and rear wheel covers, but nothing too crazy. 75.6 mile daily commute, doin' 60(from)-65(to)mph.

1) IMA is Honda's trademark for its hybrid technology.

2) One of the inputs controlling lean burn on a Honda Insight is the TPS signal. The "TPS mod" fools the computer into thinking that the driver's foot on the accelerator is very steady, hence allowing easier entry into, and a longer stay in, lean burn. It makes the lean burn window wider.

There are several TPS mods for the Insight, but what is being referred to is the latest TPS mod by Matt of Hybrid Revolt. I don't know if that mod will work for other cars though.

Primarily, one will see US- it seems like most of us are in the US. I am not saying one is right or wrong, but that does seem to be the primary. As long as we know you are using Imperial, I don't think anyone would mind. I will just have to think about it for a moment...lol

I was getting pretty decent mileage prior to summer on my 04 Hyundai Sonata, the best being 29.36 ... ...mostly achieved by barely using the AC, and coasting lots during my commute. Still, during the hot Florida weather this has dropped to 25ish. Maybe when I fix the trim that peeled a couple of weeks ago and is sticking out off the back door frame... I shall be back!

i'm sorry no psi, ftlb, us mpg, or gallons conversion yet.

Result with Ecotxec. and there is plenty of room to improve.

First time below 4 L/100km in a full tank. Over 1500 kms with 59.64 liters of diesel. 1.9 TDI engine 81 kw (110 bhp) and 235 Nm torque. in a 1400 kgs with 16 in rims and 205/55/16 tires on them. It's like the MkIV VW Jetta.

My engine has some problems of low pressure (it is a bit worn with 329.000 kms) 25 BAR to 31 bar when new. 19 bar is the wear limit. And the car has 18.5 bar in each cylinder.

But with hypermilling, custom aeromods, taller gearing, better tires and some cleaning and fine tuning of several parts of the engine. I'm over US EPA consumpption and below European homologation cycle by far.
