Pulled 47.22 going from home to Waco with a headwind, fighting a 6-mi round trip commute, then driving home with a slight tailwind. Plus one very efficient pleasure drive just need to figure out some aero mods. The underside of this car is very messy.

I've just entered my car on the main forum. A stock 2003 Alfa Romeo 156 that I bought in March this year. I live in London. Got around 30-33 mpg (UK gallon, which is about 20% bigger than the US gallon). Installed a fuel vaporizer of my own design, and now get about 30-40% improved mpg, about 40-45 mpg. The larger improvement is in city driving.

Not sure if this qualifies as a "success story" or not, but I own a 2014 F150 Super Crew 4x4 Lariat w/the 6.5' bed, 3.5L Ecoboost and 3.55 rear end. I live 42 miles away from work, so I commute 84 miles round trip 5 days per week. Yes, a small car would do me well but I actually use my truck for hauling a boat, atv, and for hunting.
Using some mild hypermiling techniques and tires at 44 psi (max sidewall as they're OEM P-rated tires, not LT tires) I am now averaging a hand-calculated 20.1 mpg when doing 63 mph using cruise control almost all of the 42 miles. I might could bump up some more if I started DWL. I am also looking into some subtle aero-mods such as belly pan panels and perhaps an aerolid or partial bed cover of sorts (would love to build something like Brett (bondo) made for his F150s that is professional looking and painted to match).

Five tanks in a row over 60 mpg!
Good spring and reasonable summer weather allowed me to get 5 consecutive tank fillings in over 60 mpg US!

Finally installed an air dam! No testing yet, but we'll see if there's any difference to my very consistent commute.
This is attached in place of the stock VX front lip. I just used 6mm bolts and 1.5"x1.5" L-brackets (drilled out slightly to accommodate the bolts). Then stainless steel bolts, washers, and nuts to attach the lawn edging to the brackets.

Despite the bad mpg PR that it was collecting, my 2013 auto tranny Elantra has averaged 39mpg with 15% city driving. No mods, but burning 100% ethanol-free gasoline(E0) & tires inflated to 40psi. With a little extra highway driving(but no tank that drained in as short as 2 days), I've had 6 out of 7 tanks that were 40+mpg, & 3 that were 42-43mpg. Now the 2013 is in the hands of another family member & we have another Elantra, a 2016 manual tranny....... also averaging 39mpg. Numerous tanks over 40mpg, & 2 tanks to 42.5-43mpg. One tank was 46+mpg..... with stops for ocean beach walks, & pix, interior hilly travel & some moderate I-5 traffic.

It was never planned but I knew it was going to save me gas. My air cond compressor seized and the belt broke loose. Its the same belt to the hydraulic pump for power steering. So parking is really hard but handles like a go kart! I could feel every gravel on the road. But it gave me a jump in fuel savings. I have hit 49mpg when my best extra urban was 38. Plus its like 80% urban. Could not believe those stuff suck that much power from the engine. Which also means more power to the wheels.

Hi had to swap my volvo winter beater for an auto for lots of reasons. Picked up a 17 year old peugeot 406 2.0 petrol estate very cheaply. Full service history new tyres and exhaust. 75k miles from new. Totally mint inside and out apart from a crease in drivers door. Started out getting about 30-33 imperial mpg. Then auto box started doing random changes or not changing at all. So carried out passive oil changes over a couple of months. Box so much better then a speed sensor went wonky so gearbox ecu did not know speed of car. Replacement sensor was not working right so waited for exhange one to come through post. Now fitted and wow what a car. Only averaged 35 imperial mpg book is 40mpg. After a fast drive to hospital over scottish mountains and 4 days of sub zero temps and freezing rain. Tyres are run at 40 psi. Hoping next tank will be better as im on 250 miles on half a tank. Auto box has lock up in 3rd and 4th.

Buy the scooter and this came with a lead acid battery.
The batteries were old. They were in bad shape. They broke down after 15 days of use. I changed the battery for other peers. exposition of a scooter. They were also bad. They broke down in 12 days. I have changed to lithium battery.
By switching to lithium battery. The battery weight 35kg to 20kg step. The useful capacity of the battery multiplied by 4.
By switching to lithium battery modify the scooter.
Active regenerative braking. If braking with the mechanical brake. The controller detects and regenerates a part.
Modify the controller for more power. Change the maximum amperage of 30A to 45A. Adding tin in the shunt. For the scooter up the slopes faster.
Add back topcase.
Conclution:
With lead batteries consumption was 44Wh / km.
With lithium batteries consumption is 35wh / km.
That is 25% more consumption if lead acid batteries are used.
The scooter weighs less.
Higher speed up slopes. Same maximum speed on the flat.
100km autonomy in winter.
