Eh, this was just a 'tape on the car, roll a meter, rip off' mod. I'll be looking into proper hinges, and cutting coroplast or other plastic with some hardware springs, not these pen springs.
Heck, the tape wouldn't stick to the undercarriage, so I had to use some of that metal wire (I just happened to have in the car for some reason) to lightly pinch it on. If I would have driven past 20, or hit a slight bump, it would've been gone.

Update: The first one is sorta done! I'm ready to mount it to the car. Everything just went right, for some reason (which is why I'm a tad nervous. Murphey is common here.) and the deflectors look great! They're solid, and well done. The spring is good, although, if anything, a tad too strong. But I'm satisfied. I've found a good spot on the car to mount it (If you have a Corolla/Matrix/Vibe it is two screws, one that is holding the bumper on, and the other that holds the stock air deflector on). Some new screws will go on at least the top, because that gray foam on it is to protect from the pointy parts of the screws that came with the hinges.
Never underestimate less than $5, a Tea Party sign you pulled off a bus bench, a piece of metal you found and bent, and some duct tape!

Vib has a new air dam. And I think you all will appreciate this one:
What's that? I can't quite make out what it says...
Ah! There. Much better!
And that 32 is my all-time high, BTW. 8 hours of driving. 4 hours down 35, 4 hours up some back roads. It's low because I had cruise control on down 35 a bit.
Getting the name out there the best way I can. Now I can do some good at stoplights as I try to muster the courage to turn the key to 'acc' as I wait for my nemesis, the infamous red light, to change its evil ways and allow me to pass after turning the engine back on. Stupid automatics...
In other news, I want your help. My past tanks have been pretty horrible at the mid-twenties. I am going to replace my VVT filter sometime soon hopefully (as I recommended everyone with a Toyota VVT-I/VVTL-I engine do) and allegedly that will help. But any other way I can get it at least to the upper twenties? I coast plenty, I 'drive with load', try my best to avoid stoplights (they are still the bane of my existence), and don't 'city' drive much if at all. This car can get low thirties easily, the guys on Genvibe attest to that, but for some reason I can't. Help?

Wow, yeah, you should be pulling low to mid thirties without even trying. Is your Check Engine Light on? Have a dragging brake? Run some Marvel Mystery Oil or SeaFoam through the injectors lately?

No CEL, not dragging brake (to the best of my knowledge. It doesn't pull, if that means anything) and a I ran a bottle of Heet through it in December. It hasn't gone up or down since that bottle. Well, actually slightly up, but I cut down on random wasteful habits.

It would be useful if you posted your mileage in a log Kit.

From memory, I believe they are approx 23, 25, 26, and 26. I've been a tad embarrassed to say these numbers, actually.
I'm going to order the VVT/OCV filter. Rumor on Genvibe has it that it is a big cause for mileage such as mine.

Maybe the numbers are low because it's winter in Minnesota, you do a ton of city driving, or your foot is jumpy. My girlfriend has the same car and we usually get 33 mpg, no mods.
