I have driven places where if anything fell off your vehicle, someone would immediately grab it and disappear.

I can handle the parents of kids easily, by definition. They are already soft, and weak. I dismissed a parent of a child easily today and they put up zero resistance. Of course, I played dumb, to expose their dumbness and immediately surrender, but parents are total cowards. I don't mean that in a derogatory way either, it's just how things work.

One small problem with MotorBiscuit's list - the Niro isn't a SUV

I have known people who called vans, trucks, and SUVs "cars" even though they were clearly vans, trucks, and SUVs.

We regularly mention that manufacturers call their products the wrong things thinking they will sell better.

I wish they would stop.

I don't know where I was complaining about the pictures on SLP program websites, but here is another example. I can only imagine the one on the right is supposed to be teaching the one on the left to produce /m/, but what the heck is with the card?

Is the one on the right intentionally tilting back her head to produce /m/?

I particularly like this one for some reason, although now that I have been paying more attention, I notice that many of these show ladies holding up letters, and I cannot imagine any speech therapist buying wooden letters like this, especially since we don't target letters, but phonemes:

Would she have CH, SH, TH, and TH or just hold up two big letters while still using their finger to say "You make sounds with this part of your body?"

I have never shown my clients /ð/ and /θ/, but you don't mix and match until they are ready for it.

You must live in a totally different part of the country as I. Here if you don't go along with what the parent want's next thing you know you're either being sued or have a gun to your head from said parent. Or at least a lot of yelling. Whenever a kid here gets a low grade the parents come in ranting and raving at the teacher as if it were the teacher's fault.

My sedan that I drive, the Avalon, has been replaced by the Crown that some are calling an SUV. It might be an SUVified sedan. But the Crown still is pretty sedan-like. But still, very confusing.

My brother and wife call their gianormous 8-passenger SUV "the car."

I dated a teacher for a bit. The parents would come in whenever their precious kids earned a poor grade and yell at her. She would show them assignments and tests where the precious kids had merely written "idk."

The parents insisted she should have given them the benefit of the doubt and the administration sided with them.

People can call the Crown what they want but it is just a Camry with an extra 0.1 inch of ground clearance and a bit less interior space due to those 21 inch wheels.

The crown bodyline is higher, which led me to think it was taller, since it wouldn't make sense to make the greenhouse taller.

According to U.S. News and World Reports, the Crown is 3.7" taller and 4" longer, with a 1" longer wheelbase, and it weighs 770 pounds more, but has virtually identical interior dimensions, with the Crown actually having rear hip and shoulder room.

Unlike the TARDIS, it's bigger on the outside.

As far as I can tell, it's just the new Avalon, but only comes with AWD. Hopefully there will be a PHEV "Prime" version of it some day.
