Was it at least a nice lot?
Three hours is ridiculous! I am sorry!

Social Security becomes an opt out proposition, meaning the default is you're in it unless otherwise specified. You can opt out at any time, but that decision forfeits all contributions previously made. It also forfeits all future entitlements.
That allows folks like me to opt out, contributing free money to resolve the solvency crisis SS is faced with, while thriving in private investments into the future. Instead of the government struggling to return pennies on my dollar, they can have it all while I am content to earn dollars on my pennies.
If somehow my investments are proved unwise, I poop anywhere in San Francisco for free. It's a foolproof system, really.
*Speaking honestly, I have too much dignity to poop in San Francisco. I'd poop in the woods, like all the other dignified creatures.

You just described the situation that existed before SS - that didn't work.
It is all well and good to say that people that fail to save can just live in poverty but large numbers of people living in poverty are a drain on a country.
Also - SS doesn't have a solvency crisis

The vaccant lot? Ya, It's in a nice area, and vaccant.
There are some newer lower income condos, around $220,000 instead of $300,000 and now they're saying you can't make more than $60,000 instead of $50,000 in order to qualify.

I believe that a realtor would stay that is a clean slate with unlimited possibilities.
Yes, you could build a house there... or leave it vacant.
While possible, I would really only say there is one possibility.

I believe a realtor will say anything necessary to close.

I despair of finding a reference [I tried] for a project by Archigram in the 1960s.
They proposed a tiny apartment or dorm room in a high-rise downtown next to work, with a suburban lot landscaped as a fenced garden within commuting distance. It had a pond in the middle with a little cabana in a far corner that could only be reached by boat.

HP property in Corvallis is eagerly in search of takers. The faded multi-colored flags are included in the rental price.

I believe that is true of salesmen in general. In the case of the guy who sold me a $2,700 bed, "Can you really put a price on sleep?"
As a man who has bought 3 beds in 3 years, spending significantly less on all of them combined, but not being able to sleep well, I am betting on sleep, but there is a 4-month return period, so if my back starts hurting after 30 days the car-priced bed is going back.

I sleep best on the floor, or something with very slight cushion.
Get a sleep study and see if you're breathing at night. I got one and was prescribed a $20 foam incline on Amazon.
As Scott Adams says, if you're not sleeping well, you're probably not exercising well.

I can imagine the thread length for Xist taking the bed back. Isn't pretty.
