Only Verizon has towers up here. I actually looked up where the nearest one is because sometimes I just cannot get it to work, but instead of driving to a tower, I go home.

Thats actually a good idea. Never thought of that.

I have my moments!

My boss had us send in our iPads. Good news! They really did send send it back!

Unfortunately, all of my speech apps are gone, replaced with apps that I never plan on using.

Should I keep it safe in a lead envelope or build a faraday cage? :P

Would you ever mail a functional iPad or other name-brand device in a padded envelope? That's how mine came home. We have discussed buying cheap prepaid phones for Torque and other projects.

I think that I would give a $20 phone more protection than a padded envelope, even with a good case.

What about you?

Any kind of metal storage box that has an overlapped top will work as a faraday cage. Padded envelopes work because the most probable impact point is the edges and they are thick enough to absorb what the glass can't handle. Being in a Corrugated box inside a padded bag is better still

A decent directional antenna pointed at the nearest tower works wonders, mizilplix on diyelectric cars got 2 miles off free wifi @starbucks using a cantenna with a homemade yagi

I've bought and sold a couple (I use ebay and swappa depending on who is getting the best prices) and they normally just come and go in boxes similar to what they were sold in. Just bought a XS Max and it came in a standard iphone sized box.

Great. I asked how to get my therapy apps back and he sent me a link to some videos that he recorded.

I don't like videos for computers! They are great for car videos to help me find things in a 3d space, but for simple instructions, I can read faster than they can talk!

Written words are an outdated technology. We've advanced to a new and superior replacement called hieroglyphics. Just use any program and observe if the functions use descriptive words, or the vastly superior and intuitive ... hamburger button, for example. I'm surprised we even talk anymore, as we could just emoji pantomime everything IRL.

Except I only recognize approximately three emotions, and I work on this regularly with clients--except I have the key!

I wouldn't be surprised to learn an actual question for applying to grad school is "Which emojo is the most appropriate response for..."
