Honestly that gives me ptsd thinking about it. I hate cold weather. 85F+ and 70% humidity pls.

Then I moved the Southeast for 15 years but never adapted to the summer heat. Above 80F is hot to me. I was painting my house and started at dawn an quit about 11 am. The neighbor across from me was building a rock wall. He came out about noon when the temperature was 95F and worked through the afternoon in the sun with temperatures above 100F.
When why wife and I were in Hawaii last year they had a "severe" cold snap and our Airbnb host checked in to see if we were ok. It got down to 75F at night and she said she had to wear her down parka to bed. I slept in shorts and a t-shirt with the windows open.

I can relate. We are about 1/2 way through our rainy season here in Portland, OR. In a normal year we would be planning a "sunshine trip" southern California or Hawaii to spend a long weekend in the sun. Not happening this year.
I do have about 1 inch of snow on the ground right now so that is a nice change from the rain.

Mom was up to her knees in snow trying to undo my snowdrift.
"What are you doing?! I worked hard on that!"
"I don't like it!"
"You're going to make yourself sick! Do you think I will take care of you?! I never do what you say!"

Luckily the snow seems to stay put where I live, don't have to worry about drifts.

My brother obsessed over finding the newspaper and started digging through the snow with his bare hands, so I had him use the rake, but I told him that I would look for it.
So, I shoveled 6" of snow from our lawn. I never found the newspaper, and it kept snowing. We had 13" out back this morning and it kept snowing.
If you can't tell, there is a foot of snow on the side of the road. When a plow finally drove through, it was in the center of the road, with the blade up.
Do people ever get stuck trying to pass each other?
I have never had snow in the way of the door:
Mom and my brother cleared off Mom's car and dumped the snow next to mine:
Hopefully tomorrow I can finally send my iPad to work. I am too tired to keep moving snow.

That's a pretty good amount of snow, especially for your area!

If you liked that one you'll really like the next snowstorm unless it's scheduled to turn away.

Hey, did anyone else have issues using the site? For a while I received a database error on my laptop and my phone, but tried on my desktop later it finally loaded.
My brother asked to go buy a newspaper while I was eating dinner. Mom told him "No" and for two hours I told him "My car is covered with snow!", Mom said "The roads are too icy!", and he kept throwing tantrums.
However, while I waited to tell him "No" again, I killed time by clearing off her car and pouring hot water on the ice-covered driveway.
It took 2 hours to melt most of the ice!
"It's not safe? No problem! I will just keep asking until it is safe! It will take a long time? I will pass the time by asking!"
