A delta or a tadpole would work equally well for all practical purposes at those speeds.

The lowest speed limit around me is 45MPH, Frank. Half the roads aren't even posted up here.

The last time I took a delta past about 30, I nearly face planted and ended up in a small pond.

EDIT: Here's where I'm going to be living:

http://www.google.com/maps?f=q&sourc...16925&t=h&z=15

The closest store is about 3 miles. The next one is like 7, and the next further one is either in Elmira, NY, or Troy, Pa, where I am now. They're the same store with different names.

Then that delta wasn't designed right.

Big Red's don't like to stop, in my experience.

EDIT: They're not road legal, either, but once you see the map of where I'm living, you'll understand.

Fer God's sakes, you know that's an off roader

Think you'd lose it with this?

Probably less likely, same with the old Mercedes concepts, etc... With a low enough Cg, I doubt tossing it would really be a problem. The other consideration when I decided to build a R-trike was that I could use the entire driveline as it was, replacing the swingarm with a rigid frame section.

Who needs rear suspension anyway?

I don't know if anyone pointed this site out... all 50cc engines, some INSANE speed records set! They aren't pulling much weight, but just so you know, a top speed of 55 or 65 with an engine twice that size shouldn't be a problem.

Yep, I'm going to be pushing ~3x the frontal area of those bikes, though, and that makes a huge difference.
