What are doing about the driver-facing parts of the Prius? Speedo, economy display, pedal cluster, ignition, etc? I assume you're keeping the stock wiring loom intact so the ECM still thinks it's a Prius . You and Bill are going to have to get together and drag race!
All displays will be hidden. I'm working on that next, will post pictures soon.

Have you held a Prius headlight up against that front fender yet?

Ha, no. I'm rebuilding the stock headlights and signal lights. Will wire directly to the Prius harness.

No problem, I was just curious how much the bottom outside corner would protrude.

Dim sealed beams, halogen or LED?

I'm going to try to cut a hole in the back of a sealed bulb and insert the bulb from the Prius. I'll post pictures if I succeed.

Aftermarket headlight lens/reflector housings for replaceable bulbs exist. Had 7" round ones on my old FJ-40. Installed identically to the old sealed beam units. Big upgrade in light output.

Summit Racing has several kits. I think I had Hellas.

I've run Hella H-4s halogens since the 1980s, when they were only legal in the USofA in Oregon and Washington state.

I really liked the halogens for the low beam cut-off. On low beam, when the car bounces, you can see the line move back and forth on the pavement. On high beam, they have more 'reach' than the LEDs I have now.

The aluminum tape is an attempt to fix the low beam cutoff. As daytime running lights, they are excellent and I do most of my driving in daylight nowadays.

What do you call that garnish in front of the factory grille? Attached to the bumperettes / bumper guards.

Whatever it is, it's a great detail!

Hopefully still easily un-hidden & visible to the driver.

Even if it's in a 1940's truck, it'll still be fun to play the "how high can we get the MPG" game with the feedback you get from the screen!
