Sorry for the delay in updates. Really waiting to see what kind of results come from tuning HX;s in columbus. Hopping for good results.

I wound up replacing the EGR with the factory part from from a local chain store. Works great. Lean burn seems smoother than before. Entry is about the same or marginally better. Car is also now lowered.

Updated pics below. (low overdue, I know... Sorry.)

Does the taped front help you? Low speed? High speed?

I find it very helpful at high speed. Having the tape is really just temporary solution. I plan on doing this grill block with plastic and fiberglass and finished smooth with bondo. I am still testing out a few different styles before I settle on one to do permanently. Afterwards I will be painting red (maybe black in some areas) to match to make it blend in as much as possible and not be an eyesore.

I really like what speedycorky did with his 2000 HX front end. I just wish the 96-98 was as easy to block off as the 99-00…

You should definitely look at attaching a kammback, or at the very least adding some sharp corners on the sides there for better flow detachment.

That is definately on my list of things to do. Most of the ones I have looked at for civic hatchbacks have been for the 92-95 bodystyle. Has anoyne done tests on what style and shapes work best on the 96-00 hatchbacks?

The best shape continues the curve & taper of your vestigal OEM mini-Kamm / roof extension.

Plug the beastie into the aero template overlay tool:

http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...ion-21952.html

You just decide how far you want it to extend (rear view considerations). And don't forget the sides taper in as well as the top down. EDIT: and you want a rounded top-to-side transition, not a squared off one.

Lower it more!!! Put it on the ground! Scrape the frame rails!!! Haha it looks good man. Very interesting to hear a new egr made it better. I've been using mmo and had mild success.

Also, those HX wheels look great, but smooth would be better!
