Just curious, why do you say with KPro V4 your car is not street legal?

I had swapped a K20z3 into an MR2 Spyder with KPro V4 and was able to have OBD-ii plug in inspections with no issues at all.

Recently I have been looking into an RSX build for economy and the FD ratio change along with the accord trans was the combo I was planning on.

Technically Any change to the emissions system is illegal. even most cold air intakes. That is not to say most officers will ever give a $#!t. but technically....

Emissions legalities have never stopped a hottroder/ecomodder before!

For a stock accord engine application, it shouldn't be a problem. I just used a cheap knockoff aeromotive fuel pressure regulator. the stock pump is rated between 49.5 G/hr and 58.8G/Hr.

I may have to change to a larger fuel line with the TSX motor.

I dunno about an M90 but I’ve got a sweet M62 setup that would work great on your K24... sitting on my LSJ with a 2.8” pulley it makes 17# @6800 RPM

PM if you’re interested lol

Haha, As much as I would like to slap a supercharger on this thing, I would really much rather not have to cut a hole in the hood.

The LSJ intake manifold puts the blower below the level of the valve cover(on the Ecotec)... might be able to adapt to K series

K24a2

Well, I found a deal that I just could not pass up. I was able to pick up a sub 60k mile 2008 k24a2 from a you-pull-it junk yard in dallas. It just so happed to be there annual 50% sale... $124 after tax.. wow.

I only had it for 3 days before I swapped it in.. I should have taken time to look it over beforehand, but I was impatient. Fortunately everything was a direct bolt in, so very easy as far as engine swaps go.

I haven't done a whole lot of fuel economy testing because the accord injectors that I tried to reuse are definitely too small for the TSX engine. But before swapping to a set of 2004 wrx injectors the mpguino was redoing 48-54 mpg on the highway.

I decided to fill her up with 101 VP race fuel and advance the timing quite a bit to do some tuning at the track. As it turns out, This thing is much faster than I was expecting.

Traction was a real issue. I had to pull 20° of timing in first, and slowly add it back in 2nd ramping up to 10° to keep from blowing the tires off.

Pulling timing to limit hp may not be the best form of traction control, and may get some high egt's but it makes consistent times lol

As a side note the cheap Chinese aeromotive knockoff fuel pressure regulators Can actually be repaired with genuine aeromotive parts.

What a deal, nice score!

EDIT: That works out to a ~12 second quarter mile, and lower 4's to 60?

Which final drive does your trans have? 4.3? Getting a 4.0 (or even a 3.4) might be a better solution for traction, and improve highway economy.
