The tribble that jiggled was the best of all.
Unfortunately, I missed seeing your bike. Pics/more info would be great.

Mike: congrats on taking the top MPG honours! I feel priveleged to have helped break in to the prize-winning Sentra before the event.

Thanks Darin, but as we all know whatever the land of make believe number was that they came up with, it was not real. The first click method is not very accurate. But as I said before the event, the real draw is the people, the cars, and the rest of the event. Oh and yes, thank you for helping me get the door unlocked on the Sentra after I locked the key in it the night before.
I'll get some pics up a few minutes here.
Mike

They actually double-clicked your car, to make sure it was full. The attendant spoke with Will and myself briefly, and was asking about Darin's Firefly, as well as other cars from Ecomodder (One of those plug opportunities for us.)
The two figures they gave me for you were 0.6 Gal, and 0.8 Gal.
Due to the "first click" method in use, they said that they were going to judge it as it was at the 0.6 Gal figure, which comes to:
80/0.6=133.333
The other figure:
80/0.8 = 100 MPG exactly.
They did, however, comment that

Will and I sort of smiled at that comment (I think I saw a smirk, at least... ) and left it to the wind.

Will, Martin, and Darin making last minute preparations in the am. The forecast was for rain all day, but the morning started out overcast. Much to our delight though, the sun came out before the start of the event and we didn't have a drop of rain until the event was just about over. Very lucky!
Morning registration at the Glen Motor Inn was very well organized. The panoramic view of Seneca Lake was a nice perk too [though overexposed in this picture].
All registered drivers got good looking event T-shirts in either white or tan.
On the spur of the moment [right before we left the starting line] I asked one of the event workers to take this picture of Team Ecomodder, but I wish I'd have paid attention to the backround of the picture before doing so!
They even had a separate start up lane coned off and guarded by the local sheriff for us slow pokes to start our run and merge safley onto Rt. 14.
Near the tail end of the row of cars about to start.
Mike's Insight [from Portland, ME] towed his home made streamlined trailer during the competition. Inside the trailer was this neat electric racer...
I didn't have my flash attachment, but here's a shot of moTthediesel's turbo VW diesel engine conversion.
This car was built by a high school team and was powered by a cylinder of hyrdogen with a fuel cell on board. It [as well as most other vehicles] made demonstration laps around the show area.
Here's a close up of the front brakes. Most of the three wheeled electric cars used variations of mountain bicycle disc brakes.
The interior of the Newburg solar car. Love the lightweight seat!

Hey guys,
Finally got a chance to read through the whole thread, needless to say I've been buried under work when I haven't been sleeping all day, so I'm way behind (and hence up until 7am).
Thanks for taking pictures, really sad I missed out on all the fun, including the center cap pizza pan covers, which seem to me like they would never ever work
Anyway, I'll definitely see you guys at the next one.

Hi Benjamin,
The wheel covers are fiberglass, formed right on the Insight wheels. :-)

I've only made one so far, since I only have one extra centercap to play with, but it's got 500mi on it with no problems.

Ah, I thought it looked a little heavier. How much does it weigh in total? My experience with these centercaps is that they don't fall off easily, but they're also pretty expensive
