I want to know the model of "ultra low-rolling resistance tires" they are including with the ECO package. It's a GoodYear based on other articles.

Hello -
Based on this thread, I guess the Eco-turbo-Cruze will not be EOC friendly unless you know what you're doing :

That being said, I would not pulse and glide with EOC in my TDI on a regular basis. I don't like the fact of requesting max boost for ~10 secs and then immediately have the oil sit in the turbo. I do however EOC if I've been driving lightly in the previous minute or so.

You would just need a small oil pump to run while the engine is off for a minute or so. Relatively easy mod.

I saw Goodyear FuelMax mentioned somewhere. I have those on my van, and they're great! Smooth, quiet, good traction, and great mileage. 1-2 mpg (out of ~25) bump just from putting these on.

You made me look. Here's the tire tread :
And I see the "LRR" rating in the specs, and most of the tire sizes are rated at 51 PSI Max :
Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max
Very nice,

Yes, you are right. With my tall 5th gear I rarely P&G in the classic Ecomodder sense, but I still have a few places on my commute where I can do "strategic EOC". Also as Daox said, if the Eco-Cruze drivetrain is amenable to an oil-pump mod, I can still keep the turbo healthy.
Cakes and pigging out and all that,

...or "add" an electric OIL pump to temporarily take over whenever the engine's OFF and coasting...possibly wired to a driver-controlled switch?

Good idea. My bet is nobody would do that before the warranty period runs out though.

As long as you're confident in your setup you shouldn't have any problems. The most you'd loose is the turbo.
