Alright I think that I found a decent electric vehicle LRR tire.
I put the Michelin Energy Saver A/S tires on.
When I put the new tires on the power consumption readings were good.
When I put the other tires on the energy readings were in the pooper. I left for work that day with 11 battery bars and came back with 2. Normally I would use 4 or 5.
I don't think I will notice much new tire range syndrome this time around.

Alright, the Ukrainian leaf modder on YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCi8...yapQ5EXR4wqMoA
Found that if you take a 40kwh battery and put 24kwh wiring, sensors and BMS on the 40kwh pack and put that pack back into a gen 1 leaf, reset it, the BMS can't figure out how much capacity the battery has, displays 24KwH range but goes into turtle after 217 km. In theory he should have been able to go at least another 40 km before going into turtle.
So I would say it's was fairly a successful test.
Maybe if it was driven for a while the car might relearn the extra range, but isn't going to show the extra kwh or ah.

New mod.
Insulation for my garage and close in the bare studs with 7/16 OSB.
Insulation will be accomplished with a combination of A+B spray foam, fiberglass insulation, reused materials and rigid construction insulation foam.
A light spritzing of spray foam will be added to where the studs meet the exterior OSB then covered over with fiberglass or reused materials. Reused material are only used where there is no electrical running through the wall or outside contact.
Anything in contact with electrical wires, receptacle or light fixture box, a vent or is some how open to the outside a listed fire resistant insulation material will be used.
I did not spray foam under or at the bottom of Windows or near the bottom part of the garage doors.

For may I did over 1,600 miles at 4.1 miles per kwh. Did a lot of trailer work.
In June I did 1,134 miles at 4.2 less towing.

I'm hoping to either pick up a used EV, or perhaps even a new one if I can work out how to stack all the incentives together. There's up to $16k on the table for a new EV purchase for Oregon residents.
The Gen I Leaf range seems perfect to me, but with degradation I think it becomes less ideal, especially in the winter. For that reason, I'd want either a new gen II Leaf short range, or a used Chevy Bolt.
If used prices aren't going to continue to tank, new will be more appealing. I might be able to get a new gen II Leaf for $14k after incentives.

Used gen II volts are dirt cheap, comparatively. 30k miles for under $18k all day.
Seems too good to be true, I found several 2017 Bolt premium in Cali for about $18k. All have right around 80k miles.

For the month of July so far I have ran the car 780 miles and averaged 4.8 miles per kwh. Around 3/4 of that is highway driving.
Got that by hardly pulling the trailer at all and barely using the air conditioning.
That like 170mpg equivalent.
Up date on the latest mods.
I have a portable ducted air conditioning unit I am going to pipe into the window to help cool the battery.
And my insulated climate controlled garage is advancing well.

Key word being ducted.
What's in the picture is not ducted.
