We just ticked over 12,000 miles in our 2017 Leaf. It is only used for commuting and trips into town (we live about 7.5 miles from the 'near' side of town). Grocery shopping, going to the movies, etc. It took us 2 1/3 years to get to 12,000 miles. Not sure how long it will take us to get to 48,000 miles.
Longer trips or when the wife and I need to travel in different directions or we need to transport my brother has me driving the Subaru Outback.

Be sure to change the transaxle oil at 30,000 to 40,000 miles.

I went 1,240 miles at 3.7miles per kwh for december.

I use as little heat as possible and use none most days.

February was a cold wet month, ran the heat and the preheat a lot. I'm at 1,000 miles and 3.3miles per kwh.
Over the next 2 days I might run up another 100 miles and may hit 3.4 miles.
I think with the diesel heater I could stay near 4 miles per kwh all winter.

Our 2014 Leaf got a bit over 6 miles / kWh in the summer, and we usually kept it above 4+ miles / kWh in the winter.
