Most of the gasser X's I've seen were getting around 6-8 in town. If I had a v10 X, I'd be looking to swap it out for a PSD or Cummings.

We have the 7.3L PSD:

It's the Ford CVH. I think the only Escort of that era with the Mazda engines were the Escort GT's with the 1.8L.

It took a while to reach the 510K mile barrier since my dad passed away on June 13, I've been having to do lots of long distance driving and have been taking some of the other cars. In the last 6 weeks I've made 3 1000+ mile trips to mom's house trying to help her with things that needed to be taken care of, one trip to help move my son into the house with her so she would have company and transportation as needed, and one trip to look at the housing market. We are hoping my wife can find a job in the area and we can move closer to mom where we can be of more help to her in the future. I think in the last 6 weeks I've spent about 3 weeks at home and the rest of the time I've either been on the road or at mom's house and we have another trip to mom's planned for next month.

Some how I forgot to post the 512K mile mark and she is now at 513K. Took a long time to get from 512K to 513K because we moved from NC to KY and this car had to stay behind for several weeks until I was able to go back to NC and get it. I drove the car from NC to KY a 500 mile journey without any mechanical issues then when I got it to KY it had to pass a safety inspection before I could transfer the title and unlike NC where a cracked windshield passes inspection as long as it doesn't affect the driver's veiw it failed the KY inspection because of a cracked windshield that had been in the car for about 20 years so I had to get it replaced. I sure hope the car lasts several more thousand miles to make it worth the $164. the new windshield cost to have installed. The miles are not going to go on it as fast now as in the past because I'll only be driving it about 20-25 miles per day 5 days a week where before I was driving it about 50 miles per day 5 days per week.
