I've only got 102k on the Jeep, original engine and tranny. I've been hoping for at least 250-300k out of the engine, and at least 200k from the tranny. We'll find out, and if I could manage something like what you've gotten from that Escort, I'd be thrilled!

There was a time in the Escort's life when I was putting close to 1000 miles a week on it. At those rates it doesn't take long for the odometer numbers to climb. Or in my case return to all 0's again since the odometer on it maxes out at 99,999.9

My brother bought it new. I bought it from him in '93 at 146K miles when he bought a new car. His new car has been worn out for several years.

I'm already approaching 210k in my Maxima. You'd never know it has as many miles on it to look at it. And my minivan is not too far behind, but rarely gets driven anymore.

By the looks of my Escort you'd probably guess if has 508K miles, although it does look much better since I washed it last week for the first time in years.

That's awsome. My wife is rolling up on 190K on the Excursion. Love the way these things hold together.

190K in an Excursion????? Does it have a gasser or a diesel? If it's the gasser, how much money is that in fuel?? According to the ever capable Google the Excursion with a V10 get 12 MPG.
