If you do then you want the 1.4/75 and not the 1.9/130

Is there a UK name for this, I only know of the Nippa.

I've seen those but never registered what they were. Both the zx40 and that are the Daihatsu Move underneath, you are more likely to find spares for the Daihatsu I suspect.

My super in accurate miles per tick on the fuel gauge indicates that my mpg is the same, however I have only driven about 200 miles on the transmission so far, and I have a bad habbit of testing my EDL every time I am on a loose surface.
Equate that to no data.

However, with the cruise on at75 my boost in 5th is 3.3- 3.4 and in 6th it is only 3.4- 3.5 no real idea if what that means for mpg, but load appears very similar.

Just crossed 450 miles with working odometer, my guess is slightly better economy, but I did about 40 miles of towing, mostly in 5th, and I keep playing with EDL.

TDI drivers, Don't get ASR it will ruin your driving style, just to much fun on our crappy roads, I would say oil slick, but I haven't had to drive in any (doubt anybody has).

Edit: although speedometer is now optimistic, the Odometer appears to be with in .1 miles over 56 miles marked by the highway department.

EDL is that the braking system traction thing ? I've always wondered about the wisdom of applying brakes to the outside of a driveshaft where > 200 lb/ft is being applied from the inside. I know its a quick pulse but even so.

I haven't noticed ASR on even the "early 80s Beirut" style roads we have in Edinburgh much apart from the big orange 'you are about to die' light on the speedo when I turn it off.

My wife had a BMW 328 with the anti-spin thing when our son was born. A late night sleepless baby and empty roundabout trip to get Calpol was too much of a temptation and I turned it off. Result ? A superb mini-drift round and much less of a 'driving on the edge' experience.

The gearing takes some time to get used to. I'm finding sometimes 6th can be less economic than 5th so I would be interested in what your SG says about it all. I kind of wonder whether some of the 'shove' in the higher gears meets too much resistance to have a full effect, so changing down sometimes means the engine has less work to do so less fuel.

My older 206 HDi loved 5th all the time, even from 20 mph but the Fabia hates it at anything under 35. 4th is only just about possible at 30 which is urban PSL here.

Yes, edl applies brakes to limit wheel slip (brakes whichever 1 wheel that is slipping) it is essentially a cheapo limited slip, except it works better than most LSD's that I have owned.

My scangauge is useless.
I can hypermile (or hypergauge?) 300 +mpg in the city yet 70 mph is around 35 mpg. Just useless for mpg.

812 Miles until the low fuel light came on, ~85 miles on the tank right now.

I haven't refueled yet, thinking about buying a tank of Petro Diesel, but I prefer to continue my protest of petroleum products (yeah, I know I still use plenty).
