You're still really close at 67 or 68 mpg. Go for legend!
I'll be replacing the Nut Wagon with an Insight very soon. In a few days if things go well.

Is it the gas only one or the hybrid one? You should post an update on your build thread!

Eager to see what kind of MPG you can pull out of one of these cars, seeing you are already getting around Insight numbers in the Nut Wagon.

The hybrid one. The "new" battery seemed to recover pretty well with a grid charge. Been getting around 65 MPG on short test trips. Hoping to get it inspected this week after sorting out a few things. I should start a thread for this Insight!

You should definitely start a build thread.

The clutch mod and regen brake button mod are must-haves if you're keeping the battery.

I should’ve gotten a better pic for bragging rights, but I drove from Webster Springs, WV to Glenville, WV today. A trip totaling some 62miles, at an average of 71.5mpg indicated... I tried to get a pic of the UG display, but I fumbled at the camera button and it went black by the time I took the photo... at any rate I *may* also be headed for a record tank later today? Wish me luck lol

That's a free sticker picture right there! I am running about 68 mpg on this tank. It's gonna take something extra. Thinking of mods.

While I did have that one trip above 70mpg, I also had several short trips that were below 40mpg, so my tank average is still looking to be around 50mpg, give or take...

Yes, but the 70 MPG Club awards sticker pictures and hat pictures for both tank averages and for Single Run Averages ("SRA"). This is the latter, and it carries a self-evident level of prestige!

But reach for the tankaverage, too, if you can... that's what I am after this summer.

I'd honestly say this is the "70 MPG challenge (non-1st-gen-insight cars) lol

So true. But it's all for fun and for free.
