acetone,,,,secret?
You know, that's something that I've "YET" to try, heard about it, but haven't been brave enough . I don't think that I really want to , don't think it'll be maybe so good for seals. But at the amount that you're supposed to use , probably wouldn't hurt. Either way , I won't bother what I do works, I've been using one item since '97, have been though atleast 8, gave one to my brother-in-law who gained 5mpg on his Toyota p/up. Another gaget been using since '05, it broke in '09 bought another seen much better results, Much better, now I'm getting them installed on my other 2 vehicles. Plugs, bought them back in '08, when they came out, a couple of years ago the price came way down on them , I own 18 of those plugs, just sold one geo , so now I own 15 of those plugs.

wow, all you all are just so smart. I'll bet that all you all, just know it all? Have done it all, right? It shows . How many of you are just reporting what "others" have said? What magazines have reported? How many of you, have really put your $ , where your mouths are instead of being just "talking-heads"? I've paid the $, bought the items and still continue to use them today. I don't depend on some idot talking-head to tell me "what works" and what doesn't. I check for myself! Some are men, others well just "the boys"!

Where's your fuel log and other supporting evidence?
BTW, I have PulseStars in my Coupe and they made no MPG difference.

okay tonto, you want my fuel log?
You boys are quite something.... I can give to you miles, /gallons, you want
my fuel "log"? I'll get you my tests, no problem. I'll start with my last check and go back from there. Alright? 103.7miles driven city, however some with highway (not freeway)involved 1.9gal. us/ 132.4miles driven, (sitting over 3 weeks in 100F+ sun). 3.2gal.used. // 43.5miles driven, .49 of a gallon used. Do the math , boys!

55, 41, and 88. Three entries doesn't constitute a fuel log but it's a start.
You need to do the searches for "short fills" and "proper testing".

granted, sometime after the 4th of July , I'll be making a trip up to northern cal to see some family and friends, on just one tank of gas to get up there, I'm estimating it's going to get me about 635 miles and still have about a quarter tank. That's after driving up and over the "Grapevine" going from LA over , into Central Ca.... either way, I'll get back with you all on that! Hey Frank , I'm a grown man, older than you I believe, I don't BS, don't like it/won't do it. Alright?

Sounds good, but you're gonna have to prove it. And you're off to kind of a rocky start, listing all sorts of things we've proven to be bogus as the basis of your claimed success.

I could probably whistle up over 88mpg in my truck, too. All it takes is gassing up at the top of the mountain, and then gassing up again at the bottom.
Short fills are extremely unreliable data, Gaud. Aggregating the fuel vs. mileage numbers you provided yields 49.73mpg average, a MUCH more credible number since it doesn't rely on a spot score like your barely-there 88mpg, and it falls much more in line with other comparable Metros.
When you can average 88mpg over a couple of tanks, then you'll have something over which you can bust out the exclamation points.
I do have a question, and I hope you'll answer it clearly without relying on jargon or obfuscation: what is the "final gadget?" If - and I really believe this to be the case - your Pulstar plugs and whatever else are not contributing to your fuel mileage, then what is this final, mysterious device whose nature and operation you will not reveal?
And finally, I must add this: no one here claims to be smart. I'm quite serious, go back and look at the posts. You might pick up a tone of skepticism - indeed, you'd have to be comatose to miss it - and some outright contempt, for which I think you must admit you've kind of painted a target on your own forehead. But at the very beginning of the thread, we were willing to at least listen. Had you been more forthcoming, we would have been more receptive. Instead you continue with the late night infomercial approach, tantalizing and teasing but never giving up the goods until the entire pitch has been made.
When that happens at my house I turn off the TV. I don't want to hear the pitch, I want to know what things cost and whether or not they work. You won't tell us how or why or even WHAT and you continue to expect us to buy your line. That isn't going to happen.

Short fills can be impressive... temporarily. I once got 31.76 MPG out of my Mustang, but the next fill was only 28.95 MPG. One fill over 30 MPG with a Mustang doesn't establish a trend. 8 consecutive fills over 30 MPG... That may establish a trend.
I don't use "gadgets" to get better fuel economy; I "adjusted the nut behind the steering wheel".
AND I have the fuel log to prove what I've accomplished.
Your mileage may vary.
