That's proper (now). No red paint needed, IMHO...

Guess I'll wait and see if they had time to put red on my tranny mounts before I paint the starter. At least it will all agree.

edit:
Making headway! Tranny is supported, motor as well. Ready to get the mounts loose and separate this '89 tranny. Time for some custom $h!T.

Thanks,
Victor

Tranny's down, but there was a slight oversight on my part - the throw-out bearing I'm sure they won't cross over from cable to Hydro
Oriellys didn't have it, neither did advanced. I'm sure auto zone has it, but they won't see a single penny of mine (degenerates).

So, this project has stopped dead in it's tracks until tomorrow, when oriellys will come thru

Here's the hole and a couple extras:

Did you guys catch the white marks on the flywheel/clutch? Old cliff notes:

More later.
Thanks,
Victor

Oriellys came thru on Christmas Eve! Got my throw out bearing! Other little hiccups along the way included the vehicle speed sensor- I liked the old one better, so I cleaned it up:

I think it looks great, even if nobody's going to see it

Got the cable conversion all figured out.
Without touching the clutch pedal:

Clutch engaged:

Got all the little things figured out and finally ready to put the new tranny in! Wow that color is so close to the body:

Couldn't be happier. It's in now. Here's the passenger side tranny Mount (battery tray Looks like crap):

More later

Thanks,
Victor

My man! Thanks! Check out how the tranny hides in there now! Color matched except for the bolts and stuff:

Skiddy's not ready to cruise just yet, and we've got a long day planned tomorrow (away from my garage ) so it probably won't be test-drive ready until Sunday afternoon, unless more hiccups

I'm a little worried about the radiator hose coming from the bottom. It sits pretty tight against the clutch pivot thingie. I'll deal with it Sunday morning and share my failures and what not later.

Thanks,
Victor
