I had 4 pairs of smooth jawed vice grips to clamp off all wheels at the same time. I could perform a very effective diagnosis in the parking lot, without even jacking the car up or putting it on a lift.

Since most customers had experiences with shops that charged significant money just to diagnose problems, minimizing diagnostic charges was always a great way to start a relationship with a new customer. It showed them you would not waste their money with hit and miss guessing.

Even worse were shops that charged people hundreds of dollars and didn't even fix the problem.

too late and cold to get anything productive done to the skidmark tonight

but the title did have a bit of a "disclaimer" built right in

I think I'm gonna go "king of the hill" style: cold beer, and chill in the garage (drinkin' with skidmark - she's old enough!) but no driving ,I'm a cheap date

nice nice nice!

Awesome to see that cheap/clean 5 speed wagovans still do exist.

,

I plan on getting one,putting in a D15Z1 swap,with a HF trans,and HX wheels.
With aftermarket Cruise Control, and of course cold A/C.

Then drive it cross country.

HF trans would really be the way to go,it'd bolt right in and give you some awesome ratios.

Beer brakes are for pansy boys.

Nice progress

Don't forget to open up the wiper cowl and check down the fan hole for leaves or small animals, ha. Older Honda's always have crap in there and it slows down the fan speed.

Thanks. Hadn't thought about the cowl. yup, I'm a pansy! But this pansy has a wagovan!

I'm going to get a couple more pairs of vice grips (Thanks mech) and play brakes next round!

Thanks,
Victor

She's got factory air! Cruise Control is big in my book, too. I'm working on making the cable clutch work with the vx tranny, since that's what my final dream includes. Time will tell if dreams come true, but I'm a stubborn one, so it should happen

Thanks,
Victor

Hey friend, Stumbled upon this link today.

A complete walk-through to getting a (JDM) VX engine into a 2G CRX.

Hope this helps you! Not sure if he addressed the cable-tranny issue you mentioned...
