Update:

The new suspension is a blast to drive on, real nice and stable and minimal body roll on hard cloverleaf turning! Rides pretty smooth, not bouncy but a little stiff. I did notice that my camber is a bit off. I've got front and rear camber adjusters coming (pics on install) more on that later.

In other news, Skiddy and I broke our old mpg record on today's fill up!
301.3miles ÷8.799gallons = 34.2425275599mpg!

I wanted to fill up yesterday, I could see for the miles traveled that the numbers would be good. I figured another 100 miles on the tank would be more of a true read. (It seems that the gas gauge drops off more quickly after the first half tank)

Either way,I'm a happy camper! I blame the lowered suspension and lots of hand throttle action for the jump in mpgs.

Camber parts should come in tomorrow, party in the garage on Saturday!

Thanks,
Victor

Thanks dude! Your vx is coming along nicely!
I'm gonna go crazy if my camber parts aren't in tonight or early tomorrow. I'm dying to get Skiddy's camber right!

I did "adjust" the rear a little with some washers in between the camber arms and the body mounting points, but there's no easy way to cheat the front camber closer to true right now. .

I've been poking around on Craigslist and I think I've found a pretty sick set of rims! Right now I'm talking to a guy with 18" rims and low profile tires. Just need a little more info before I jump on that one. .giggity giggity

Thanks,
Victor

How extreme are you going with the Black plastic bodywork? If reasonably cheaply, then I can recommend what I did to my corolla, They don't look bad sanded and painted body color!

I'm going to have to do it like my buddy OG VX... (after I read thru his posts on that again) so I would say very extreme. That dude is serious. Have you seen what he can do with that kinda stuff? It looks so brand new! If the car were newer, I would go body color.
But that is a summer dream, friend for now it's just like you see it.

I haven't updated things here much in the last week. Lots of stuff happening with this cold snap - HVAC busy style but I promise tomorrow's Wagon Wednesday will bring new pics that will knock your shoes off and replace them with bigger, shinier ones (OK maybe not your shoes, but Skiddy's got a new pair and they fit the bill)

Still haven't done the camber stuff yet. This weekend I hope to get it done, since I got called into work last weekend $$$

Thanks,
Victor

Haha! I love it! Gps says the speed is the same. The outside diameter is almost the same on both tires, I'm going to roll with it.

Thanks,
Victor
