After patiently waiting, I finally got my taxes back! Time for some upgrades! Next week, I'll be getting the following installed.
4.10 Rear end.
KYB gas-a-just rear shocks.
SVE upper and lower tubular control arms.
Koni red adjustable front struts.
Subframe connectors, not sure on the brand, but man they are some thick and badass subframe connectors, my buddy almost didn't sell them to me.
Passenger and driver side door. Gotta paint the passenger side, drivers is done.
Smog pump.
P/S pump.
So that's it. In the next 2 months I'll be getting a eldebrock manifold, 70mm throttle body and BBK cold air intake. I'm still trying to find out why I'm getting horrid mileage, I just filled up yesterday and got 12.9. It might be my short trips around town, and if it is, the 4.10 rear end should help a lot.
[Edit]: I may be getting an engine from my buddy as well. It's what's in his car right now, and he is swapping for a 331 engine and his will be up for sale. His is the stock 302 but it has a upgraded cam, Pistons and rods(?). He only wants 800 INSTALLED for it, so I may hold off on the intake, TB and CAI and get the engine instead. The engine also only has 40k miles on it, and is set up to run 15lbs of boost without a problem, something my current engine can't do.

Also, I'm still battling my brake issue... I'm going to put a low mileage brake booster/master cylinder and new rotors to see if it helps, and it if doesn't, I may not be driving it hard until I get it fixed. I'm not going to kill someone/permanently injure them because I'm to cheap to get a very serious issue fixed.

Not bad! Look for a K-frame too, really helps the Fox-bodies.

Absolutely! I'm going to get the vortech one, but that's 3,500$ so unless I find one used it's 2-3 years in the future.
A k-frame is on the list, my buddy hasn't gotten one yet or I would have got it haha.

Hi,
I once had a 1981 Olds Delta 88 with a 1.56 rear end. YES, a 1.56 rear end. It was a Texas car and got 25 mpg avg on trips. 307 V8, 3 speed tranny with lock up torque converter. Without the torque converter locking up, it would get 15 mpg avg on trips. So, maybe some of your poor mpg is your AOD.

Holy crap I didn't even think they made that tall of rear ends!! However, I know a couple of AOD Foxbody owners that easily get 18-20 around town, and 24+ on the freeway. My buddy that has a 91 vic with an AOD gets about 22-24 around town, and his car is heavier and has a smaller engine (same gear ratio though).

I have to suspect someone only lifted one wheel of the ground when they counted the ratio. (3.11 is more likely)

I have seen 2.56s and I want to say I have seen one even taller than that, but 1.56?!
Even guys who swap in an injected 302 with a 5-speed into a classic Mustang get to see mid-20s.
I would never put EFI onto mine but I did have plans to use a fox roller bock as a basis for a mild build backed with a 5-speed. Mustangs can be fun instead, though, imma sell it.

I think I might actually be getting 20 this tank. I'm at 48 miles and only 1/8 of a tank burned, when normally I'm already at 1/4 or less. I did change the fuel filter out about 20 miles before I filled up, along with a 20oz bottle of chevron fuel injector cleaner when I filled up, and I have been keeping my foot out of it, dispute getting challenged TWICE on my way to work this week Uhgggggg!!!!!
