New doors on! Also a good pic of the rims as well. They don't look the best, but they WORK. Both power windows work, locks work (no power locks, removed them, I hate power locks) and they have tint for the hot summer days that are coming. Now people will underestimate my "piece of crap" even more now mwahahhaah!!!
I'm also having a problem with something in the drivetrain. Since getting this rear end I noticed there is a very loud growl when decelerating in OVERDRIVE, AND ONLY OVERDRIVE above 2100rpm. I have no idea what's causing it. I drove the car this rear end came out of, and it was whisper quiet in all gears at all speeds (but it was a 5-speed).
Also guys, before you start judging me, I make 9$ an hour and only work 4 days. I have to go with what I have, and try to be happy about it. If I was making more money, I would get the car repainted, get a new motor, new interior, but I just can't afford it. I'm trying to improve my situation but with my neck/back the way they are, a lot of job opportunities disappear . I orignally typed this for another forum I frequent where a couple people had sent me some pretty nasty PM's on how cosmetic stuff should be taken care of before mechanical/performance stuff. Everyone on this forums has been kind, and thank you all for your continued support

I'm just glad to hear you're pulling your own weight regardless of some issues! I have a friend who left the Marines with a lifetime, monthly payment based on some vague, minor medical symptoms. $1800/month. Guess what, he hasn't done much with his life since then... despite being a very intelligent man. For example, he can do 4 digit x 4 digit multiplication in his head and he's won every single poker game I ever saw him play. My pet theory is that the $1800/month has made him just comfortable enough that he doesn't desire more.
Did you ever think of selling Foxie and just focusing on the Insight? You could prob turn a profit now.
TLDR: keep on keeping on.

If that is 100% disability, supposedly you are not allowed to work afterward.
Many people who need to support themselves do not make much of their lives. I do not know how many people want good jobs just to purchase stuff, but if you take away that motivation, I am not sure what is left.
There is a guy I call "Sunshine" that works in the cardiology department at the Phoenix VA. He says that he wants to return to Iraq, but without rules of engagement. He just wants to shoot people?
He says he has a friend that lost a leg and received ten percent disability, but 40% for PTSD, and he never even applied for it. Then he started ranting about people claiming PTSD from Basic.
I cannot speak for Navy or Air Force boot camp, but I doubt they are traumatizing.

I love my Mustang, it allows me to unwind when I'm stressed. It's also an automatic and when my back starts hurting I simply drive it instead of the insight. This Mustang is my baby and I will probably never let her go. It is funny you say that though, I literally got a guy that asked if I wanted to sell it at work tonight haha.

Looking good man! Did you check the wear pattern on the ring and pinion? It may be shimmed improperly causing the noise on deceleration.

Yea when my buddy and I had it apart it looked like it was dead center in the middle of the ring gear. Also I have a feeling if it had something to do with the rear end, it wouldn't only do it in OD . I could be wrong though. There isn't a lot of info on AOD builds as everyone goes T5/T56.

Also I don't know if I mentioned this, but I drove the car my rear end came out of, and it was whisper quiet, however, it was a T5 trans not a AOD.

I get asked if my Mustang is for sale all the time. She's my baby - Dad and I restored her together, the memories are priceless. But the car is just a thing and I'm getting her ready for sale. I'll be glad for the cash, and I'll likely pick up another project afterwards.
There's not much like having a weekend car you can unwind in, though. It's definitely a luxury, one I'm willing to sacrifice for (well, I say sacrifice - neither wife nor I are big spenders). The one nod I'll make to practicality is that my next project would have a good chance of being a 9-passenger wagon.

Double check the driveshaft flange bolts, they may have backed out. The bolts on the flange of my old blue Lincoln worked loose and the symptoms of that were similar to what you're describing.

Alright I'll check them when I get home. We put lock tight on the bolts, and it sat for like 4 hours, but who knows.
