928S Project
I was following behind a porsche 928s and thought of the following;
Based on its shape, would it be best to turn the car around and drive it ass first? Re-slope the windshield for optimal angle and drive it like it was in reverse. Seems the car would be more aerodynamic if driven that way ...
Thought it would be fun to contemplate.

Awesome Idea, can someone pull this off to see what it does please?
Oh and post it here .... I have a funny feeling it would make an awesome car, logistically to make a rwd vehicle run backwards may be a bit complicated, but I would sure love to design the interior in that thing ...
WHo knows if it workds I may have to research buying one .. LOL

theres an old porche 928 near where i work. Its liscense plate says it hasn't been registered since 2000. if you're serious about this do you want me to see if there interested in selling? (i don't think it runs, but i could be wrong)

You might be surprised, but it's not that hard to find a dead/beater 928. The problem is that in stock form, they are a complete nightmare to maintain. A lot of stuff isn't DIY-able unless you buy horrifyingly expensive Porsche tools, so you're stuck going to horrifyingly expensive Porsche-specialist mechanics, to deal with a maintenance schedule that's demanding even by Porsche standards.
...or just swap in an SBC and call it a day. There's even a kit, I think.
/still wants a 78-83 911

trikkonceptz - that's hilarious. I think you're right about the 928 being better aerodynamically going backwards.
We heard that about the GM Volt concept recently, and occasionally about NASCAR racers, but the 928 is a great example.

I can't get the dam simulator to work for me, therefore here are the mock ups I made. Would someone please try and get them posted here I am curious.
First things first, how do we get a rear engined car put power to front wheels?
I know an engine swap would be step one. And yes this is very impractical, but if I'm right, would be something really cool. I could definately retool the interior and as a bonus it would already have suicide doors .. LOL
So here are my bitmaps, one is stock and the other has a mocked up Kam that connect the roofline with the front of the hood. Have funn and lets see it work ...

And sure, find out, it wouldn't hurt, but it would have to be dirt cheap for me to haul it from Maine back to Florida ..

So true. I dated a woman who had a 928... what a finicky high-maintainance thing THAT was! Beautiful to look at, high performance and touring comfort for sure, but all the little do-dads were showing their age. Many things were broken or didn't work right. Just getting it started and warmed up took a lot of patience
and then there was Ann Katherine's car!
