I like Metro's method. He didn't put holes in his bumper!

I like yours! To be honest, I would've done the same thing if I didn't have help...but I didn't want to drill into the visible part of the bumper.

Tiny holes underneath the car where no one sees = my only justification for doing it.

I have the car down south for vacation, ~350 miles one way. We got 44 MPG. Running the A/C on max with a top speed of 70MPH. I tried to neutral coast when possible and kept her rolling slowly when we hit traffic. I wanted to do some more aero before driving such a distance but I didn't get enough free time. After next week mostly all of my free time is going to be spent fixing up the car.
I need to do some body work and improve the aero at the same time on the rear bumper and the passenger side front fender.

Nice MPG!
I see some low hanging fruit from HX rims & rear wheel skirts there.
15" alloys, 195/60R15 & 44 PSI to 14" HX rims, 185/70R14 & 60 PSI = +3mpg city @ 40 MPH, +2mpg highway @ 55 MPH for me. Really helps in climbing hills.
If you do wheel skirts, test with cardboard first. Seems like they need to be carefully constructed to clear the wheel and yet not add frontal area.

Night time driving is bad in my civic. I'm adding extra high-beams to the to-do list.
I blew out a headlight and had to drive 35 miles with 1 bulb on high.
I got the best bulbs I could find on short notice. Its a huge improvement.

The brighter bulbs don't last as long. Better to go LED or do an HID + projector conversion.

Oddly enough, I also recently switched to the Silveratar Ultra bulbs (in 9007) but would like to go LED eventually... anyone got food info on a good bulb that won’t blind everyone else while I drive? Don’t want a ticket but would like the LED upgrade too eventually...

Compare the lumens ratings of the LED bulbs to standard headlights...high beams can be as bright as you want but low beams shouldn't, of course. I've seen kits for HID low beams and super bright LED high beams.

I find lumen ratings on LEDs to often be disingenuous. I bought a set of 4800LM (per bulb) LEDs to test against my 35w HIDs, which are ~3200 lumens per. The LEDs were considerably less bright.

Hm. Would you say HID lumen ratings are more "accurately" advertised?
