I picked up some "drip edge flashing" I plan to use as side skirts. Remove factory side skirts, add drip edge to bottom edge, add lawn edging with washers onto that.

Sounds like a good plan. If you get the final build as clean as the image you are sharing, it'll be a good bit cleaner looking than mine are. When you get close to mine you can see the flaws diesel cleaner and the gaps look tighter.

Clean and dry baby, clean and dry. If it has oil on it, don't bother.

Not so bad... it didn't contact the cooling or AC radiators, so.... carry on!

I don't think I like the grill blocks, I can do it better, the lip on the material doesn't look good. I'll call this a failed test.

I used pieces of coroplast painted black on my Civic, held on with zip ties, and it looked decent I'd say. Cutting them to fit in the gaps instead of just blocky squares might help too.

Remember this?
Quote:
He even persuaded Bill to take a quick walk around the block with him, pointing out every rectangle with rounded corners that he could find. When Steve and Bill passed a no-parking sign with rounded corners, it did the trick. "OK, I give up", Bill pleaded. "I'll see if it's as hard as I thought." He went back home to work on it. I think this is a fantastic example of what makes Steve Jobs one of the few true visionaries in the world.
